Sharing Stories (Early Learning)

overview

Children view media from the Sharing Stories Foundation Digital Storytelling Program to listen to, and learn from, stories about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures shared by Elders, Traditional Owners and children. The purpose of this activity is to instil in children an early awareness and appreciation—even if only subconscious—of the importance of actively listening to Elders’ and Traditional Owners’ stories about histories and cultures, and the value of safe sharing.
