Everyday Racism is an educational mobile phone app which challenges users to develop stronger understandings of racism by spending seven days walking in the shoes of another person, such as an Aboriginal person. As a professional learning activity, staff can sign up to the experience and over the course of a week, will receive texts, tweets, images and videos that will challenge their assumptions, and give them a stronger, immersive experience of what life can be like for cultural minorities in Australia. In turn, users will be prompted to understand the importance of appropriately speaking up and taking action against racism.
